| CD-ROM subscription rates
The GeoJuice web site and the associated archive are
organic. The archive will grow by
about 2 to 3,000 images per annum. Each image on the
web is accompanied by a narrative,
which is in turns, descriptive, explanatory and confrontational.
The images on the web
site are 600x400 low-res jpegs. They include connections
to some of the best sources of
free images for geographers on the web. The web site
is accompanied by CD-ROMs containing
a ready-made archive of images of a particular country,
region or theme. Only rights
managed “GeoCom” and “GeoJuice”
images / graphics (high-res 900x600 jpegs - just right
for
dropping into presentations) are carried on the CD-ROM.
The CDs contain additional images
and also large tiffs for marketing and worksheet purposes
and also powerpoint
presentations.
Members of the Scottish Association of Geography Teachers
and those of the Geographical
Association, RSGS and RGS receive discounted subscriptions
- £5.00 per CD.
Non-members subscriptions are £10.00 per CD.
(You should support your subject
association!) Single CD purchase order forms are also
available. The aim is to publish one
CD-ROM each term. i.e. three issues per annum. Two CDs
per annum might prove to be more
realistic however, given my travel plans for the next

Back copies of the SAGT Journal for sale
The journals have earned SAGT over £6,000 since
the turn of the millennium. More importantly the journals
have enhanced the Scottish Association of Geography
Teachers’ standing in the educational community
and deepened the knowledge and understanding of Scotland’s
practitioners on subjects as diverse as anthropogenic
soils in the Shetlands to the ‘palimpsest’
view of the curriculum advocated by David Wright. Download
